Born on 4-4-1975 in Puyallup WA, Bryan Gallinger was an average kid growing up in a small logger community (Hoquiam, WA). Even though Bryan hadn’t traveled out of WA to see the world, at a young age he yearned for a lot more out of life. Bryan always dreamed of living the adventurous entertainment life. He grew up dreaming of being a famous actor, model, musician or filmmaker. Anything that could provide him the ability to be in the public eye, travel, make good money and to experience life at its fullest! Ironically, Bryan was shy as a kid: not overly talented, not very aggressive with anything, not the most attractive and definitely not the most accomplished in any area. But he had the dream, the vision, willingness to work hard and a relentless ongoing burning desire to be significant and to achieve great success. What Bryan did have going for him was a genuine personality and he studied other people's strengths to help develop his own. He had an equal yearning to both perform and to produce from the business end of entertainment so he continued to study business classes in various junior colleges (Pierce community & Green River CC). His desires to perform and entertain started with music but quickly stretched into modeling, acting and VJing. The modeling pursuits did ok landing him some small catalog print work but standing only 5’10’’ didn’t open up many larger doors. The acting door pretty much closed before it opened as Bryan will humbly admit, “It is just not my gift!” In 1992 Bryan started jamming with high school friends in different rock bands. One of his first groups was called
Ascention including fellow members
Scott D. Davis, Bryant Porter and Brian Held. Brian Held is one of a handful of people who had a major impact on his life inspiring him to move forward in pursuing his dreams and never allowing life’s obstacles to hinder you. At the tail end of 1993, Bryan formed another group called
Toy Soldier including members Todd Reising, Bryant Porter and Benjamin. Todd and Bryan have remained business partners in music since then and currently still produce through
IDLEMINE MUSIC. To date, Bryan has played with the groups
Ascention, Toy Soldier, Sammarium, Jet, Relic, Negative 7 and
IDLEMINE. Touring, his bands have shared stages with groups such as
Alien Ant Farm, Papa Roach, Disturbed, P.O.D. and
Hed P.E. Bryan quickly realized that no matter how good a band was, it is very difficult to get good gigs in your early stages. As Bryan began to bloom late (senior year) with confidence, he developed what you could call the
Van Wylder fundamental skills of throwing parties and entertaining people. Therefore, he simply started throwing his own parties and concerts (meanwhile booking his bands to perform). House parties led to outdoor parties which then eventually led to warehouse parties and eventually building actual gigs by renting out venues throughout the Greater Puget Sound. In 1993 (senior year) Bryan teamed up with fellow classmate Josh Schaapveld to assist in producing the best Graduation party to ever hit Rogers HS. This all day and evening event included a full casino, grass and beach volleyball courts, multiple stages for live music performances, full-scale boxing, food & beverage venders and more. This could actually be marked as the pinnacle event that sparked the action to create The Grassroots Network. Summer of 1993 spawned the unofficial beginning of GRN as Bryan started producing a wide variety of live concert events, festivals and private parties. Once Bryan learned that his modeling career was short and limited, and that his acting career was not possible he enjoyed small success as a tv personality. In 1999 when GRN produced Xtreem TV it allowed Bryan the opportunity to host the show. The experience hosting Xtreem also lead him to working as a VJ with MTV. In 2003 Bryan feels that he has found his strength calling best serving as a producer and leader of people. He hopes to always play music but enjoys helping others, producing and building the company much more than performing on screen. Over the years Bryan learned the hard lessons through trial and error of building companies, working with people and such. “Learn from your mistakes, always have qualified mentors guiding you, read lots of personal development books, never lose focus of your dream and NEVER give up!” – says Bryan. But the journey has been amazing and it is still going seeming to have no end. As each new division develops and as trends evolve with business, technology and the economy, GRN continues to change and evolve too. From others, Bryan can be described as a
Peaceful Warrior in that his demeanor and energy is very calm, peaceful and polite while his approach on business is very intense, ambitious and focused! Bryan’s living philosophy is
Iron Sharpens Iron and his daily encouragement is
"Walk in faith, live in balance, appreciate what you have, yet always strive for more!"
