THE DREAM SPARKED THE PASSION AND THE JOURNEY OF GRASS ROOTS BEGAN...

In 1993 when a young entrepreneur named Bryan Gallinger started holding live music events throughout areas of the North West. What began as small weekend gatherings soon developed into full-fledged rock parties and elaborate scaled theme parties consisting of outdoor rink boxing, beach volleyball, and poker tournaments with catering and live music. As a high school student, Bryan and his friends focused to provide a safe and fun environment to host and promote upcoming talent. Parents helped in this by chaperoning and confiscating keys until the following day. Bryan used these events to not only promote the local talent, but also give exposure to his own bands. An example of one such event was the unique and unforgettable graduation party Bryan and Josh Schaapveld, a long time high school friend, threw for the seniors, guests, friends and family of (school name). Support from the community played a major role in the success of this event and provided prize giveaways, parking locations, food, beverages and much more. The event started off in the late afternoon with beach volleyball, 4 grass volleyball courts, full contact boxing, live music, fair-style food vendors, tents, bonfires, over 50 random hay bail seats, soft drink dispensers, restroom commodities and a full volunteer (parental) staff to run the event. Tickets were sold throughout the year making it a complete success. A safe and controlled environment was one of the keys to the amazing and unique variety of memories made to wrap up the '93 high school career.  From then on, Bryan is/was referred to as the Ferris Bueller/Van Wilder of the era.
Music

Bryan’s music career began in 1991 as he eagerly studied percussion at Roger H.S. in Puyallup, WA. Bryan holds great respect and appreciation to his early days of mentorship from Greg Gross (symphonic instructor of Roger H.S.) Bryan immediately turned his love for music into performance as he started playing the drums in bands at 17 years of age. Bryan played in numerous bands over the continuing decade but had a pinnacle connection with bass player Todd Reising. In 1993 Bryan and Todd launched the beginning of GRN's music division titled War Machine Music. (link to WMM) Although it is a huge passion to perform it is his equal desire to produce music. GRN exclusively teams up with Synergy Studios in Redmond, WA with owner/engineer Jason Shavey. (link to talent) See the talent division for more examples of Grassroots artists and affiliates.

GRN's current music division produces a variety of live music venues up and down the west coast. These events range from small live music performances (coffee shops, solo acts), private parties, shows and up to larger-scale full concerts and festivals. Our most prominent goal is assisting others in "making it!" Grassroots will always be supporting, developing and assisting musicians and bands in both small and large efforts. Submit your music to us and see how we can help! We can provide services such as artwork, marketing, promotions, recording, writing, producing and networking. GRN is currently not acting as a booking or management firm.

Designed with efforts of "getting local music out there," our goal is to create opportunity through creative networking with other aspiring musicians. GRN also books shows, hosts events, showcases musical talent, and even produces a variety of their own.

WAR MACHINE MUSIC is a production of GRN that writes, produces, records and creates a variety of styles of music that is then used for multiple outlets of productions. Background on WAR MACHINE MUSIC is written, performed and produced by primarily 2 dudes. Todd Reising (33 married with 2, from Puyallup, WA, iron worker for over 20 years) and bass player by nature. Todd writes and plays all bass and rhythm guitar parts. Bryan Gallinger (30 year-old pretty boy, entrepreneur, owner of Xtreem TV and Grassroots Network, single punk, Van Wilder meets Ferris Bueler) plays drums. Bryan plays all acoustic/electronic drums, samples and effex. Bryan and Todd originally joined forces a

decade ago after meeting thru an ad in the "Rocket". The groups over the years have included "Jet", "Toy Soldier", and currently "IDLEMINE". They have had an uncanny chemistry since the day they met and their stage presence is explosive and entertaining. They are known for their rich bass & drum grooves. When they perform, they are often known for their humor, stage antics and explosive stage presence. In over a decade Todd and Bryan have had a difficult time finding guitarists and vocalists that match their chemistry or caliber. Hence, they stopped waiting and began producing completed albums without others. Their latest 3 releases are all written, performed and produced by themselves with the assistance of Jason Shavey (writer, producer, performer and engineer/owner of Synergy Studios-Redmond, WA). Occasionally they will bring in an outside musician to play on a track of a tune in the studio. They pridefully and exclusively only use Synergy Studios. It has been the combination of those 3 men that created the final product of these last 2 albums. After a year of writing, producing, fellowshipping and collaborating, Jason Shavey more officially joined the WAR MACHINE MUSIC army. Today WAR MACHINE is known for writing/producing tracks for background music. You can hear their music behind action-sports films, commercials, tv, indie films, radio ads, video games and others.

WAR MACHINE'S most recent project was strategically designed as a "Temple of the Dog" type group. Todd and Bryan auditioned guitarists, worked with numerous local musicians and spent 16 months writing, recording and rehearsing with the goal of building an all-star band. Results are the current band IDLEMINE. After a year of writing, recording and producing tracks IDLEMINE consisted of Todd Reising (bass, rhythm guitar, 33 years old from Puyallup,WA), Bryan Gallinger (acoustic and electronic drums/percussion - 30 years old from Auburn, WA), Abel Ames (lead guitarist, 30 years old from Seattle, WA), and Rick Threat (writer, producer, lyricist, vocalist from Vancouver BC - also feature member/founder of "Northern Alliance"). As of March, 2006 they completed over 15 full songs tracked, recorded and mixed. Initial goal was to release a full-length album that summer, play some shows, get the music out and see what happens! Today, IDLEMINE is embarked on a national 1year tour and is featuring a new live drummer named Simon. Click here for more info on IDLEMINE!

GRN's long-term vision is to have a diverse record label providing high-tech capability (keeping up on cutting edge production technology) while continuing to offer the utmost high-touch treatment with our artists.
Live Music & Events

Once the vision was in place, Bryan soon began collaborating with other bands, promoters and venues to produce an awesome blend of events and connections. Grassroots’ grew quickly in the arena of booking events and groups throughout the Northwest clubs, events and festivals. Similar to the graduation party, Grassroots’ events often incorporated food, beverages and also received local support from business donating items to raffle off as door prizes. These raffles usually consisted of tanning packages, clothing, sunglasses, pizzas, beverages (energy drinks) and much more. Eventually this momentum took off and the vision expanded by adding action sports (skateboarding, wakeboarding, Street Bikes, BMX and FMX and other). It soon became a ripple-effect that birthed many other avenues in the entertainment realm. Today GRN produces a wide variety of events.
Artist Development

Throughout Bryan’s life he has desired 3 consistent elements:

1. A life surrounded by entertainment, whether it is performing, producing or watching he wanted to be involved.

2. To be an entrepreneur, developing and owning a successful business. In addition to having a natural business-mind, he has always dreamed of attaining astronomical wealth. The kind of wealth that would leave no limits to a person’s lifestyle and breaks the chain of mediocrity by creating generational income/security. "I want to build a legacy to pass on for multiple generations," states Bryan.

3. A genuine desire to help others and make a significant impact on this world. "I can't stand the idea of merely breathing air and taking up space on this amazing planet". I pray that the vision for grassroots will outlive my life for hundreds of generations and will continue to evolve massively. But one area must remain consistent; that is the 'pay it forward' concept of passing down knowledge, wealth, contacts and opening doors/helping others to eventually create that ultimate "Positive Hollywood".

This uncontrollable passion for others eventually spawned the Artist Development division. GRN scouts aspiring talent like bands, musicians, athletes, designers, photographers, editors, videographers, business minds, etc…and will assist them in developing their careers. GRN is not an agency or a management company. This help comes from Bryan’s personal passion of seeing others succeed with their dreams/goals. This assistance is delivered through a blend of channels such as, networking, collaborating, mentoring, funding, promoting and more. Grassroots is proud to state that we highly respect those whom have chosen disciplined lifestyles and retain that rare balance of passion, drive, work ethic but also remain humble and have a positive attitude. We often reward drug-free artists with substantial assistance. Bryan has built relationships with key leaders in the entertainment/business worlds. "Networking is the strongest tool in a persons tool box,” states Bryan. After many years of pursuing careers in extreme sports, modeling, music, acting, and television, Bryan came to the conclusion that he enjoyed being behind the production as much if not more than 'on-screen/stage.'

Talent

GRN is proud and honored to display such a diverse span of talent. We will showcase, endorse, promote and create exposure for any individuals/groups that we believe in. GRN utilizes international contacts and resources to administer the assistance necessary thru channels of tv, print, web and word-of-mouth. Our talent line-up consists of models, actors, athletes, photographers, videographers, editors, writers, artists, musicians, bands, web-designers, marketing professionals and more...
TV

After returning from a short jaunt modeling and working as a TV personality in Europe during 2000 and 2001, Bryan launched a TV show titled Xtreem TV. Xtreem was geared towards magazine-style profiles of music videos, extreme sports and live music. Grassroots involvement was to uncover local athletes, bands, performers, artists and producing stories. Xtreem started as a community-channel broadcast show but soon grew nationally and internationally covering The Tony Hawk Boom Boom Huck Jam and Vans Triple Crown Tours. Xtreem has had major involvement with most of the extreme sporting events and live bands such as Korn, Sevendust, Alien Ant Farm and more. Xtreem now airs both local and national bands music videos often airing the videos that Mtv doesn't. Over the years Xtreem has increased in broadcast quality and expanded into Ultimate Fighting, Nightlife, Import Cars and exotic lifestyles. Bryan hosted Xtreem TV for the first 3 years, and still makes periodical guest host appearances. In efforts of collecting extreme sports footage for Xtreem, GRN often collaborates with individual film makers and multiple other production companies. These efforts create additional exposure for the GRN community talents while providing the general public with great entertainment material. Another focus GRN is actively perusing is the production of action and sports films utilizing its personally developed footage, athletes, production staff and music. This persistence will explode within 5 years.
Film

Today, GRN’s film division consists of short stories, music videos and their first independent film “Small Change”. This movie was developed in an effort to help a young aspiring 17 year old gentleman named Nick Giersdorf of Bellevue, WA to develop skills in film production. Bryan and Nick produced Small Change, using local NW actors and production crews. Small Change developed beautifully regardless of it being a low-budget short film. GRN’s entertainment resources played a major role in acquiring the talents of Dave Van Miren of ABC and Dean Kosage of The Spot Media, along with Nick Giersdorf and his story. More will be announced soon. GRN has played major assisting roles in filming/production of action-sports films since 1997. GRN has served roles from story-boarding, filming, developing and producing music videos. (more info and examples of music videos coming soon)
Multi-Media

When you insert yourself in the middle of so many channels of media production it only makes sense to use your talent on day to day work. The GRN multi-media division is capable of producing anything from basic graphic artwork, business cards, and web-design, photography, commercials, weddings, music videos, DVD, image campaigns and logos.
Business Cards

GRN's mission is to help individuals, business, entertainers and more to develop an full image campaign. To obtain that look, feel and expression of who they, what they are doing and whom they're targeting. GRN also offers a variety of unique feature to our card design/printing:
  • unique sizing
  • 14 point card stock
  • spot uv printing
  • rounded corners
  • full UV coating
  • brilliant colors
  • full-color bleed designs
  • sharp innovative design techniques
  • templates (our most popular feature)
These 2 elements are what sets our business cards aside from the masses of other designing companies out there.
Mortgage & Finance

IFG is the mortgage, financial and investments division of GRN; providing the public with services/consultation, residential and commercial mortgages and investment opportunities. GRN is approached by literally hundreds of individuals, companies, bands, film makers, writers, that need investors (funding) so we attempt to connect these dots in many cases. We are also receiving a lot of successful achievers that end up making some cash and want guidance on how to manage or even invest their earnings.
Health & Beauty

Millenium Health & Beauty developed for many different reasons but one very personal. As life would have it and as it seems when any person seeks true “greatness,” challenges will arise or, in Bryan's personal beliefs, the demons come out. Bryan was no exception to this rule and was faced with some serious health challenges in 2003-2006. In the midst of battling for his health, Bryan chose to use natural forms of recovery ranging from lifestyle changes, eating habits, natural supplementation, wellness PMA and spiritual balance. After vigorous research Bryan discovered that nutrition was the #1 industry in the world. Combining a natural-born business mind with a new zest for healthy living we’ve created this new division. Millenium Health & Beauty targets not only health & fitness but also beauty simply because they go hand in hand. Nutrition is the #1 industry in the world. All of the bands, models, actors, athletes, promoters, even friends, families and associates use skin care, supplements, make-up etc... Bryan immediately understood the amount of people in entertainment and athletics, let alone general population that were health and beauty conscious. GRN studied and compared hundreds of health, fitness, nutrition supplements skin care and cosmetics companies. They decided to market and endorse an existing series of products and services that were already highly successful in every way. This was yet another example of teaming up with, or utilizing another vehicle to take GRN to a higher level. Creating this division served two vital purposes to the GRN vision:

1. Providing any and all Grassroots athletes, models, actors, performers, etc, with high-quality health and beauty products and services at affordable prices.

2. Creating our Grassroots artists a vehicle that allows them to generate income thus allowing them to add fuel to there vision.

This produced an atmosphere that was unlimited to possibility for any individual involved with GRN. Eliminating the “Starving Artist” dilemma played a pivotal role in the true development of future entertainment artists.
Tanning

H.O.T. (Hi-Intensity Onsite Tanning) was developed along side of our goals to remain healthy, look good and empower others in the process. This innovative and cutting edge technology allows the tanning client to receive a gorgeous golden tan without the traditional health risks of UV tanning. It even avoids any risk of alcohol inhalement like most spray tanning machines produce. Our services are 100% mobile so the client can receive applications in the comfort and privacy of their home, work or other. H.O.T. uses NW Sun FX machines and solution exclusively and endoreses the highest quality skin care products for before/after maintenance.
Marketing & Promotions

The marketing & promotions division officially stamped a dream come true for GRN’s vision because for almost a decade Bryan searched for a way to help himself and individuals to raise capital in order to fund their dreams/goalss. Bryan comments “no matter what country or culture, poor or wealthy; in my experience, it seems that the most common denominator for aspiring entertainers is lack of money and time. In my opinion, some of the most talented athletes never make it to the Olympics, some of the most talented musicians don't get played on the radio. The same can be said for actors in film/tv and it is simply due to lack of funding, connections, mentorship and guidance.” Bryan went on to say, “They say that a person has only so much creative energy and once it is gone, it gone! I see and hear of a lot of talented people trying to produce art, develop a business or fulfill a passion, but the dream is never completed. Bring into the equation community services, school, parenting and a strong lack of time, money and energy and you get the most consistent reason for failure.” The promotions division of GRN not only solves this dilemma but it also serves the purpose of promoting events, artists, bands through street teams and individual promoters. Executive Promotions is a portion of GRN designed to take its own industry to a higher level by marketing large fortune 500 corporations. Grassroots Marketing (GRM) applies an affiliate marketing approach at making royalty based residual income marketing and promoting some of the biggest companies both in products and services globally. GRM powerfully entered the e-commerce world enabling both on and off line business prosper at an astounding rate. GRM proudly credits its successful product, services and executive promotions division to the collaborative efforts using existing business models and teaming up with Alticor, Quixtar and ABG. GRN also accredits the amazing mentorship system of World Wide Group to a large portion of GRN’s success and principle foundations. This team combination has created a powerful alliance that has positions GRM perfectly for the cresting wave in e-commerce and putting GRM on the cutting edge of business!
Promoters

It takes individual support and promotion to make these events happen. You can build the most amazing event with an incredible line-up of talent but if no one shows up, the event is bunk. "It has always blown my mind at how many individuals (especially youth) will passionately donate time, money and energy to support the bands/entertainers that they believe in," says Bryan. We instantly began building huge street-teams of promoters that would make calls, post flyers, build websites, blogs and email distributions in addition to major word-of-mouth advertisement. These promoters often enjoy the work and it makes them a part of the event, team and even sometimes the band. A few years down the road we were able to train our promoters how to promote a variety of products/services to generate additions income streams while coinciding with existing promotional efforts.
Affiliates & Sponsors

Grassroots is proud and honored to be able to work with as many impactful and powerful organizations. Grassroots has a long list of both affiliate companies as well as affiliate programs. Our affiliated companies are broken down to 3 tiers.

1. Brother or sister companies that are directly tied to but also are independent corporations that conduct/produce business outside of grn.

2. Independent companies that solely conduct/produce business outside of and are not tied to grn. However, we believe in the quality of their business model, vision and purpose so much that we endorse and support them 100%. In many cases this means that we may even use their services exclusively.

3. Independent companies that conduct/produce business that grn affiliates themselves with in efforts of greater networking capabilities. Affiliate programs are simply products, services or programs that another individual, business or company provides and we refer business to. For example landscaping, computer services, tanning, make-up artistry to name a few.

At this time, GRN does not have any current sponsors.
Interns

GRN has enjoyed and has been successful working with student interns. It creates a wonderful synergy because interns not only get to work on cool and exciting projects in their desired career fields but the also receive simultaneous life skills throughout their internship. It also allows these students the opportunity to test the idea of working for Grassroots, in the future! We take pride in providing life skills in management, communication, financial budgeting and more in the specific trade skills. Bryan states “I am totally confident that there are plenty of good people on this huge planet that desire to make or be apart of the media, entertainment and production worlds and poses the strength to maintain values, morals, and ethics. When you combine talent, positive minds, teamwork, and vision, you equate an extraordinary outcome. Our intern programs are directly derived from our overall mentorship vision and included in our artist development system.
